Filtra P Marine

Elevated concentrations of phosphate leads to the growth of various nuisance algae and will inhibit the growth in SPS stony corals as well as calcareous algae. High concentrations of phosphate will also darken SPS corals causing them to “brown out”. Phosphates may be present as organic or inorganic phosphates inside our marine aquarium. If inorganic phosphates are much easier to be removed from water, organic phosphates will mostly not be impacted by phosphate-binding materials normally available to the aquarium hobby. Elos Filtra P Marine binds large quantities of phosphate, both, inorganic as well as organic and it is completely reef safe, unlike some competing products absorbents which may leach phosphates back to the aquarium, or may simply precipitate driving more phosphate onto the sand and rock and suspended CaCO3 particulates. Using ELOS Filtra P Marine, phosphate levels in a reef aquarium can be maintained very close to zero.
