These testers arrive without any solution that protects the sensor in the cap and the foam lens protector that they include to protect the tip is fused to the lens. The cap needs to be sealed better - I ordered one, had to send it back - then another replacement for the first and had to send it back too.

To the above review, Horticulture Source has nothing to do with how the meter ships, and secondly, the meter is shipped DRY. It needs to be hydrated upon opening, nothing was wrong with your order.

I run a plant tissue culture lab. the other reviewer is correct, every pH meter or replacement electrode I have ever bought came dry. The reason is shelf life. My understanding is that they will sit on the shelf forever if they are dry, but once you add the buffer solution, the clock starts ticking. I have no experience with this meter, so please disregard my rating. "The computer made me do it! It wouldn't post my comment without a rating.
