Granulated stonewool can be used alone or
mixed with other loose media such as expanded
clay rocks. Eg. The addition of water absorbent
granulate to peat mixes at 25-50% volume
increases water holding capacity and aeration,
improving plant growth and shelf life. The water
repellent granulates are superior substitutes for
aerators such as perlite and Styrofoam. Bales are 4
cubic feet and 45 lbs.
