D. Forbes - 12/20/2009 I had been having trouble getting success with this machine. As soon as I did MUCHO research on aero-ponic cloners, not just the ez cloner, on how others are using them, and getting 95-100% success. I have finally gotten success after more than 10 tries in the past year & half. I would recommend that you tell your customers about following the directions on the website STEP BY STEP and also getting a precision cycle timer for their EZ. What I have found is if the pump runs constantly, not only does it raise the temperature of the water too high, (85+), the constant spray basically soaks the end of the stem, making it soggy, and eventually turning into a brownish slime that just slowly kills the cutting over a 2-3 week period. I bought an adjustable cycle timer, and run it 30 seconds on, 4 mins off for the first week-week and half. Once I started to see some bumps along the stem, I adjusted it to 1 min on, 4 mins off, and now that the roots have actually come through and grown about an inch now, I have it at 2 mins on, 3 mins off. I have seen incredibly fast root growth as soon as the bumps begin to appear. Within just a couple days, they just shoot out. Basically what I am saying is, if the pump is run 24/7, its not giving the end of the stem any time to dry out a little as to force the cutting to root or die. I thought I was going to have to give up on this method of cloning because I was having so many failures, but simply adding that timer has made me a believer. I literally got 100% success. Every cutting I put into the EZ has very healthy roots now growing, and will be ready for their new aeroponic table in about a week. I just wanted to send ya'll a short comment, so any others that purchase the cloner will have the right information, and get faster results than I did. I love the EZ cloner now. It will easily take care of all my future needs! Thank you so much! |

A. Anonymous - 02/16/2011 Indoor growers should consider purchasing the Turboklone prior to purchasing the ez clone. Be warned that the ez clone product does not run at optimum cloning temperatures. Use of this product requires tedious water temperature management such as using timers, using a water chiller ($300+), adding ice, raising the lights above optimum height, storing in a cool room below optimum grow room temperatures, etc. EZ Clone boasts a return rate of less than 1% (http://www.ezclone.com/about/); however, you will encounter great difficulties in your attempt to return the product. Upon your attempted return, EZ Clone may inform you that you are able to clone with water temperatures of 85F, your heat problem is a product of your cleaning methods, etc. The bottom line is: save yourself the time, water temperature control challenges, and poor customer service. Buy Turboklone! Turboklone has a water temperature control system. |
B. Anonymous - 05/11/2011 Hey, A. Anonymous, I saw you posted the same "review" on another site, www.ezclone.tv, and they actually responded to your complaints about water temp and other issues. If you follow their recommendations to the T, you shouldn't be having these problems. Here's the link to their response: http://www.ezclone.tv/post/3297550756/love-is-growing-together-happy-valentines-day#disqus_thread |
b. kilo - 06/04/2011 This set of reviews was extremely helpful in my long hard quest to assertain some realiability out of my EZ clone 60. I worked and tested the EZ-clone for over 4 years. I eventually came to have success after buying cooling systems for my clone rms. Chillers for my EZ resivours, interval timers for the EZ-pump, and truck loads of magnetic driven pumps as they give out quickly under the interval timing frequent on and off. Basically the EZ is nothing as advertised. "Easy cloning w maintinance free hassle". If you purchase one of these units be ready to spend up to another 1000.00 dollars for it to be successful. And even then it wont always be reliable. The turboclone is cheaper and much easier to use as it has an onboard fan that keeps resivour temps optimal. If you are serious about cloning checkout the new DIY fogponics units. They have back-up aerosprayers and dont have near the complications as EZ-clone and you will have reliable sucess over the years. Good luck, and thank you to the ones who posted before me your info was critical. |
